Secrets of Halloween

As Darkness descends upon the capital, heaven and hell open their gates, and the souls of the dead are allowed to wander between worlds and visit us here on earth. We travel back in time and delve into the dark corners of Danish history.

The meeting place is Østerport station and we start by walking through Kastellet where you will hear dark stories from folk tales about fantastic creatures, sorcery, magic, rituals, murders and grim events.

On the trip, visiting crime scenes and hearing accounts of lost souls, unexplained incidents and grim fates. We look in the window where Struensee and Brandt spent the last months of their lives chained to the cold wall as state prisoners.

If cobblestones and waves could talk, what secrets would they reveal? Along the old Nordre Toldboden we tell three stories from the Øresund.

On the route we follow a Danish family and uncover a world-renowned, possible perpetrator before ending at the old Royal Academy of Fine Arts.
